School Advisory Committee (SAC)
The School Advisory Council (SAC) is a team of people representing various segments of the community – the principal, teachers, education support employees, students, parents, and other business and community citizens. A majority of the members of each school advisory council must be persons who are not employed by the school district. The SAC serves as a voice for school improvement by assisting the principal in preparing and evaluating the School Improvement Plan (SIP) and providing input on the school's budget. Council members representing teachers, education support employees, students, and parents are elected by their respective peer group, and business and community members are selected to ensure representation of the ethnic, racial, and economic community served by the school. The SAC plays a crucial role in fostering continuous improvement and ensuring that the school's decisions reflect the needs of all stakeholders.
The Frangus School Advisory Committee will meet monthly beginning in September. We are looking for parents and commmunity members that would like to be a part of the committee and help shape the school experience for our students. Meetings will be held in the media center and the time and day of the meetings will be determined at our first meeting in September. Please join us!
