Dress Code

Students should wear items that are appropriate for school. Students should come to school dressed for a day of work. Our dress code includes the following:

  1. Casual wear and sport-type clothing is best suited to school needs. Tank tops, muscle shirts, see-through shirts, halter-tops, short-shorts, cut offs, frayed shorts, long dresses and biking shorts are not appropriate. Bare midriffs are not allowed.

  2. Clothing which portray alcoholic beverages or drug advertisements, vulgar language, expressions or gestures will not be permitted.

  3. Hats, visors, and other head coverings are permitted only for inclement weather and may only be worn until students arrive in the building.

  4. Shoes must be worn at all times. For safety reasons, students may not wear flip-flops, high-heeled shoes, or shoes with cleats. Shoes with wheels, known as Heelys, are not allowed in any OCPS school.

  5. Students may not have bold, disruptive hair colors or styles; make-up is discouraged.
