Students should wear items that are appropriate for school. Students should come to school dressed for a day of work. Our dress code includes the following:
- Casual wear and sport-type clothing is best suited to school needs. Tank tops, muscle shirts, see-through shirts, halter-tops, short-shorts, cut offs, frayed shorts, long dresses and biking shorts are not appropriate. Bare midriffs are not allowed.
- Clothing which portray alcoholic beverages or drug advertisements, vulgar language, expressions or gestures will not be permitted.
- Hats, visors, and other head coverings are permitted only for inclement weather and may only be worn until students arrive in the building.
- Shoes must be worn at all times. For safety reasons, students may not wear flip-flops, high-heeled shoes, or shoes with cleats. Shoes with wheels, known as Heelys, are not allowed in any OCPS school.
- Students may not have bold, disruptive hair colors or styles; make-up is discouraged.
